Ground/Home-study
AQPGA Scenario-Based Training is unlike anything else you've done before. To pass your written tests, you need to know very specific things determined by the FAA. It's a lot of stuff, as you know.
But after you get the thumb's up from the FAA and start flying around all by yourself, there are things you need to know that are not in the training you've already gotten.
There are things to know that can save your life and the lives of any passengers you happen to be impressing with your skills.
Our free training materials on this site come in 2 basic flavors: Knowledge & Rehearsal. Sitting at your desk you can learn, and you can do mental imaging. You've probably heard the story of a famous basketball player who wanted to improve his skill of "free-throwing" a basketball? He sat on the bench for a long time, consistently, every day, just imagining himself throwing perfect free-throws and making them every time. And it turned out that mentally visualizing was just as effective at improving his skill as actual practice.

In-Flight Training
Even though home-study and visualization can aid you tremendously and you should absolutely take advantage of our materials, there's no substitute for being in a cockpit, in the air, with an AQPGA Certified CFI beside you going through exercises to build your muscle memory.
Not "if" but WHEN you are taken by surprise in flight and you are faced with an urgent "life-or-death" scenario, you need to REACT NOW. And you need to take the appropriate action.
The best example is LOTOT. If you are a human that has not developed the muscle memory to PUSH the yoke the instant you hear the engine go quiet (or bang), as soon as you register that you have no power and you are losing altitude quick, your instinct will probably be to PULL UP.
If you are low and slow and experience LOTOT, pulling up is a death sentence.
And unfortunately, unless you CONDITION your body and brain to PUSH in that moment, you could be in big trouble.
There is no substitute for actual in-flight conditioning.
